I agree totaly - I love the rest of my T610 and the camera in phones is only a toy - which I personally never use anyway for anything really - but thats really no excuse for SE to deliver the poorest camphone on the market. If they desided to release a camphone they could have atleast put in a cam that were equal to the rest of the competition with the same specs (cif resolution camphones). Im not talking competing against VGA camphones - only CIF camphones. I personally dont care one bit about the camera in my mobilephones - but I do care about them putting in a useless device that still make the phone more expensive for me to buy. It would have been better to leave the cam out all together or give the buyer the choise of a T610 with or without cam - especially when they deside to put such a cam in the phone.

The quality of the cam is so poor that Im almost tempted to suspect that SE cheated big time and didnt even really install a true optical cifresolution camera but only a 120x160 pixels camera that digitally interpolates the resolution to cif where other brands have installed true cif resolution lenses. That would also account for the fisheyeffect and the amount of noise in the T610 picture even under perfect conditions.

Everyone that has a T610 has view that images taken with the camera always come out a litle bit more round that normal.

Here is the same location taken with my t68i + mca-25,even with it being a cloudy day the pic is much better than t610.

The t610 camera has gotta be the biggest letdown but everything else is great,so the cam does'nt bother me

yeah - the mca 20-25-30 delivers much much better pictures - they should have used the same lenses in their camphones. And like I said before the camera as such doesnt bother me either - the rest of the phone is so great - and I never got the T610 for the camera - but it does bother me when companys kinda cheat their loyal customers by delivering utter crap. Alot of people also bought the T610 because they wanted a camphone and they payed extra for the cam compared to what the phone would have cost without the cam - and these people really gotta feel cheated somehow.

yes exactly - leave out the camera and let the add on cams of good quality be a choise the customer could have made. Instead of removing the ability to use the addon cam while at the same time adding a useless onboard cam. That really shows lack of concern for the customers imho. - something I would have expected from another scandinavian phonemanufacturer but not from SE.

@ boyi: uuhh...if that's the same location, what did you do with the light pole?

i agree they should have made it compatible with the add-on cam.

well, you might have thought it would look good in your front yard.

i know what you mean about english weather. i remember when i was in the UK with my family years ago. we were staying at the julius caesar in london. it was about 22 degrees C at 9am, and in the lobby were a couple of old ladies dressed up in their winter woolies (scarves, coats, hats - the whole nine yards). anyway, dad asked them why they were all rugged up and they replied, "the weatherman said it was going to be cold tomorrow". i remember by mid-afternoon it was bloody freezing.
