Isn't one of the scenes cut from the film gandolf's taming of saruman right at the beginning of rotk. Also i guessed while watching that also cut was the bit where frodo and sam are dressed as orc's?

The entire Voice of Saruman chapter was cut from the films, which is the chapter in which Gandolf "tames" (nice word choice) Saruman. This takes place in TTT, but was on schedual timeline-wise to take place at the begining of the ROTK film. It was cut entirely, and Pippin simply found the palantir glowing under the water, thus leaving Saruman and Grima unresolved.

I will be seeing this film again tomarrow afternoon. I'm optimistic that this film will win best picture, but something still tells me it's just not possible.

Oh no. There is talk of PJ making a made for TV version of The Hobbit staring Ian Holm and Ian McKellen, but that's just talk at this point. As far as more Lord of the Rings, all that's left is the extended version of the ROTK DVD.

I would have to say that Two Towers is my least favorite of not only the films, but the books as well. On top of that, my two favorite parts of the book wern't even in the film, so yeah I'd say ROTK is better. Although overall I'd say filmwise Fellowship is my favorite.
