By that I am implying that it is more likely that a SE BT headset will experience connection issues with the P900 were a non-SE BT headset probably won’t. You have to keep in mind that it’s still only a ‘chance’ that you’ll experience issues with an SE BT headset + P900. I have had perfect success with some of these SE BT headsets + the P900 where others haven’t. But the scale seems to be tipping in favor of non-SE BT headset + P900. If we were to draw up a matrix with these variables in mind: SE BT headsets vs non-SE BT headsets vs P900 vs non-P900 phone (i.e. T68i, T610, etc.) and ran a Polling question regarding connectivity issues you’d probably isolate the bulk of issues to the SE BT headset + P900.
It’s scary that this sounds like a risk buying an SE BT headset for your P900 is a risk, but I don’t think it’s nothing SE couldn’t fix with a simple firmware upgrade. SE BT headsets are very innovative in terms of style and quality. There’s no question about that. With all that said, I think it’s fair to say that the issues may only be related to the communication protocol that these two entities connect through. The P900 BT firmware profile is still at R5D. Maybe once that’s upgraded a lot of issues will be resolved.

Dunno about the SE vs non-SE argument. I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-30 and a Jabra BT250 and they both work equally badly with the P900. They do however both work faultlessly with my T610, IMHO the BT250 has the edge - you can get a week out of it between charges without any problems and wear it all day comfortably, the HBH-30 needs a charge every day or two to keep it going.
I would certainly avoid anything like the HBH-200 or any other device that makes use of the Handsfree profile. Sadly it looks like SE aren't going to bother supporting Handsfree (despite half the factory fitted BT car-kits using Handsfree)

I'm useing HBH200, but it's really hard to know when there's an incoming call if you'll be able to accept it with this handset. BT is really bed working!

With respect to the Motorola HS810 opening question, yes you hear the persons name while calling, voice dialling is done by tapping on the button. If you want to turn the headset off, fold it up, if you want to turn it on- fold it open. It is a really really good headset, and sounds like I'm lucky as I have no problems with P900 at all. The battery on the HS810 is really good as well, seems to last forever.

Do not purchase the HS810. It's poorly designed which makes the mic sit on your face. This has the same effect as covering the microphone with your finger and then trying to speak into it. Audio is muffled on the receiving side. Horrible design, makes it useless. I know this is a good quality piece of equipment but the design makes it unusable. Voice commands will not work unless you are practically yelling.

Have to agree with wildcard and disagree with kissdadoodkie. Having tried a whole load of combinations of SE and non-SE BT headsets and handsets, I was amazed at how well the HS810 performed. It switches between my P900 and T610 with no problems and I can even do what I thought wasn't possible - use the headset with both handsets at the same time!
I have to say that after their original headset, I wouldn't have touched a Motorola BT product with a bargepole, but since getting a freebie, I wouldn't swap it for any of the others. I barely use my HCB-30 now.

Wow! I've been using the HBH-60 and the BT200 for a while with my P800, but since I've gotten my P900 I've given up on my Bluetooth headset.
I kept losing my signal and the people I was talking to kept telling me that they couldn't hear me.
So I switched to the stereo headset supplied and everything is wonderful.
I'll keep monitering the forum to see what really works. That way I know I'll get the real, best information.

Anyone managed to get their BT headset working with Wayfinder BT GPS (see
www.wayfinder.com)? I have tried both with Jabra BT200 and the Ericsson HBH-20 but the headsets cannot pick-up calls while the navigation software is working with the BT GPS. Have ordered a Motorola HS810 - this may work (the basic problem is that the P900 seems unable to work with two BT devices).
