Hey there (author here),
The website (for OSX.SE) has alot of things mentioned in it that describes the features of the the theme in conjunction with tracker.
Reason I included it was so that it would appeal to people actually downloading tracker (since I'm also designing the default theme that will be used with tracker upon purchase). Additionally it shows that the theme is fully integrated.

Now to create an animated taskbar is not impossible, just impossible with tracker.
You see the animated bar below gives the illusion of the dock being animated (if slightly)

I tried my best to fit everything a user would need into one theme whilst keeping true to the 'feel' of a mac. osx.

Finally, one thing that KSE noted was that after launching an app and then closing that app, it doesn't go back to tracker.

I can say that it has nothing to do with my theme, and that it is a problem on tracker's behalf.
Best thing you can do if you want to revert back to OSX.SE is to put the tracker icon on the shortcut tabs above.

Here is the link that I originally posted http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=48008

I am very happy to see people's interests.

I recently had someone post a few suggestions and so I'll create a X.5 version soon.

Finally, hopefully tracker will support higher res colours so that it looks as smooth as my screenshots, but until then, sadly it reduces the bg to 4,800 colors (best suited for the p800 i guess).

Thank you all again,
Kei

(on a different note the P900 does support magicword, going to contacts, editting it, and going to the tab from there should show you enough.
oh and on a personal note, I noticed that with ALL of my apps closed on my p900 I have around 6.4 MB free space (i'm guessing thats memory used to launch apps and run them) but when I close all apps on the p800 I have8.9 MB.... strange?

About the Mac looking bit.....I mean the design of Mac OS x....it's looks so much better than windows and so much better graphic....I actually have a decent 17" sony LCD monitor but windows just doesn't run stuff as smooth as Mac

macs are incompatable with windows which most people use and that is the truth....But don't think tht i am one of those windows fans.....I actually hate windows a bit....I so want to have Macs but I think if I change to macs I ll have to buy mac stuffs from now on which are quite expensive.....anyway I am gonna buy a cheep end ibook to use and try first...

Do you Mac users have any advice for me if I really am switching to Mac??

Hi,

The MacOSx skin is amazing but in my P900 the display is kind of corrupted.
The hour and date are garbled and the same happens to the mem info menu.
It's probably a question of fonts but it only happens with this skin.
Hope you release the new version. It's killer work that's for sure.

Cheers

Amnesia...

Apologies if my comments reflected badly upon your work in any way, and perhaps I should have mentioned, although assumed instead that tracker users (those whom the theme is aimed at primarily) would realise, that the program ending back to "normal" P900 was not a problem confined to your theme...

On that note, having tried it, i can see that much work had been put into it and as a result, I would not unduly criticise something which has clearly devoured so many production hours... (unless it was actually rubbish, and deserved such criticism)

Ultimately though, impressive as it initially was, I have removed your theme from my phone since the ol' apple look doesn't really float my boat (whilst tracker doesn't appel either), if i wanted a mac, then i would buy the real thing (though it may not be so portable as the phone :!), which is something i generally say about all emulating type themes, such as those which try to copy win xp (and they say people hate the normal pc version so much!)... i like to change the look of the phone, but for me, personally, a theme should really be unique to the user... so everyone get out there and make yer own, then perhaps share them to give others some ideas and guidance...

I would say that things aren't more expensive really, once you buy a Mac. if you're talking software, I am sure Macromedia and Adobe suits are paralleled in price. There is an awful lot of software for Mac OS X, its not half as bad with compatibility as people think, most Major players are tied in with OS X, and Microsoft themselves actually introduce some features to Office for Mac, in advance of the same features on the PC version. Hardware-wise too, you're not looking at crazy prices either. You might consider Mac's initially expensive, but comparing numbers isn't what its all about, although if you care to, compare high end PC's to the G5. You really ought to try a Mac someplace, or if you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help.

After switching myself, a couple of years back, I wouldn't consider using Windows and any PC anytime soon - by choice.

I would not consider a £50 mac compatible floppy drive inexpensive... something which a friend of mine bought from a well known out of town store, being the only one they stocked for the mac...

Popping into another store, questions regarding a mac were greeted with many a frown, and responses in the line of them not knowing if anything they had would work with a mac...

Whilst the mac is supposedly user friendly, once you get used to it at least, most of the target market, those who seek ease of use, would actually go to such a shop as I have mentioned, preferring to ignore internet purchases for whatever reason they see fit in spite of the price advantages...

This is just something which the potential user should consider beforehand (something not really an issue for experienced users)...

Who wants to use Floppy drives now-a-days? I can agree with you there... Finding Mac stuff in town for will always be a nightmare, saying that, Personally i wouldn't ever buy stuff from Dixons or w/e. The internet is ideal for this kind of thing, and certainly something i'd point out, if you were buying a Mac, dunno where you live, and if you like paying full retail whack on things, but buying stuff online tends to be the best way to buy Apple stuff / Mac OS supported stuff, and save money.

hey again,
@KDE I take no offense at all at your criticism. I enjoy it alot! I really like to hear people's opinions on how my work looks.

I hope to create newer and much better theme's in the future.

Of course any suggestions or rough designs would also be of MUCH help, especially since it gives me something to steer towards.
