that's coming from a SE fan..it's biased..you want a semi-neutral review...
the 500 kb will go a lot further on the 3100 then on a SE..because you can store tons of games ringtones and pics. most morhpun games are bit bigger. plis nokia games you can get for free..if you know where to look..morphin too but harder to get.
this is a kids phone low end good for the young crowd... nothing more nothing less
but like i said i'd go with the n3100.. good luck with your decision.

erm... so you are not even considering other phones that 3100 and t230?
i mean what about 3200, z200, 530 etc. ?
though i can't recommend a phone because i don't have a clue what your sister wants....
i mean does she need ir, mms, gprs etc?
though 3100 and t230 are both nice phones for the money....

Better looking. Light weight and handy. More features. EMS, AMR etc. Come on the phone is feature packed. Also the MCA30 is thousand times better

but i guess t230 rules the roost in mms as u know ericsson pioneers mms concept..

i know but...z200 is very nice that's all... what i dont' understand is what good is mms if you don't have a camera?..i only use mms to send pics..that's it no animation greeting card things.. but that's me
and honestly by the time you get a phone and camera attachement..you might was well get a t610.
