what settings are people using to get good quality movies, i can get the sound and picture sorted (im using a p900) but often the picture gets messed like digital interference which is pretty annoying.
What i like about the converter is that it is very fast but the picture is not as stable or good as Pv author or mpegable

I take it all back , i ditched the Vxid mpeg4 decoder and used the Xvid encoder from the smartmovie website, absolutely SUPERB!!!!! picture and sound in perfect sync

Yeah I don't get outstanding results either.
I thought PVauthor was a much better image and audio.

What settings are people using on Smartmovie and what program do you use to rip the DVD?
