How can

or anyone else claim t68i as the first

phone!
T68i was T68m with new firmware it was still the same old Ericsson t68!
I must agree to both of you even if I don't want to... I bought a T68i the first day it was out (It was still on coming soon section in

.com)... After 12 month I opened up the phone while changing the cover and to my surprise, all the black parts had Ericsson /// written on them
It also says "Arctic Blue T68" on the box of the phone, not "T68i"...

i know alot of you don't will like my answer but well... its a symbolic way to answer it - so i say that the T610 was the first REAL Sony Ericsson phone. BECAUSE it was the first phone which was designed under [and with] a so called sony ericsson style AND the mainstream market accepted the phone [it was a success] and second, it reflects the Sony Ericsson philosophy - innovation and amazing design
[edit] the t68i was just an update of a phone developed by ericsson, the T200 had just the Sony Ericsson logo on it, was developed and designed by ericsson, the T600 had some lines of a Sony Ericsson design/style but it wasn't a huge success - i'm not sure about the p800, it was proberply a Sony phone cause of the Jog Dial and it was a success on the smartphone market

mine was a T310, contrary to what others think, its quite a good phone. And also good value for the stuff it can do!

If the T68i is a firmware upgraded T68m, I'd love to see the codec that gave it blue keypad LEDS!
For the sake of argument, the T68i was the first Sony Ericsson branded handset (although my T68m came with a Sony Ericsson branded battery and manual when I bought it in Dec 2001)
The first phone from a direct Sony/Ericsson collaboration is probably the T610, as the only characteristics it shares with the original T68m are the method of getting into the service menu and a joystick.
