Hi everyone,

May I suggest, that guys from Norway to help escalate our Px00 problems to SE in Norway and see if they can help, cos from all these posts in this thread, seems like only Norway SE are helpful. To start it off, I'll name out common P900 problems that has yet to be resolved right until R4B03 firmware:

1. Hand writing recognition and keyboard suddenly disappears in any text capable app like SMS, just after a few days of usage, and about 5MB of active free memory available. Followed by sudden prompt of "Out of memory" and "Unexpected End of File" error messages. As someone from another thread had asked, is this Symbian OS or Micro$oft OS that the P900 is using? For those who have not yet experienced this, try not to reboot your phone for the next 4 - 5 days and I am sure you'll faced these error messages suddenly.

2. Missing/Lost recurring Calendar entries bug when phone is rebooted. Recurring Calendar Reminder not sounding off when time is up. Even author of 3rd party app like AquaCalendar knows about this problem and how can SE don't know about it?

3. Animated gif files are FULLY extracted into memory before it is finally being played back. This causes the image viewer to crash after 1 min of trying to load an animated gif file of say, 200 frames. P800 and even 6600 (sad to say) don't do this and playback any animated gif file immediately without delay, even with animated gif files of 500 frames.

The above are real life problems and bugs of the P900 and I assumed it's SE's job to get them sorted out, but who/where in this world does SE listen to? I tried sending a few e-mails to local Singapore SE support but after 2 months there's 0 replies from them, and damn it Singapore is still one of the most expensive place to purchase the P900 till date!

So guys from Norway, maybe you guys can help?

Cheers

@fanditha:

The Px00 Platform is technically limited to 128mb. Even if SE would support the Memstick Duo PRO, the phone could not adress more than 128mb.

So, to put it in a nutshell, Px00 never gonna support more than 128mb external memory.

They are listening. Believe me or not. Do you remember about the video, that shoved the future of SE and there were showed the K700 and S700 and SE mailed laffen to remove the links? So they are listening. I don't readed the whole thread, so excuse me if It's been posted before. This message was posted from a T300

Having had phones by several manufacturers in my time l can say with some authority that SE aren't that bad.
They most certainly are not perfect here in the UK, but anytime l have ever had cause to phone them they have usually been, polite, reasonably quick and keen to help. However, l have heard a few horror stories on here.
I wonder how many halfwits SE support has to deal wity, thus using up valuable resources? There are always two sides to every story.
As for SE software, l'm a bit perplexed at purge's comments that it's crap. Personally l don't see it being all that bad, it gets the job done. l would be interested to know which manufacturer you are comparing SE with.

P.S. @purge

What phone do you currently use?
