@boba: sorry, it wasnt meant in a harsh way. its just "--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
King of the bounty hunters, master of assasins, a man of proud and tradition. His mandalorian armour is a label in the galaxy. Do honour him! "

Kind of lording yourself up there...

Sorry if i caused any offence, none intended.

the originals are better than the special editions witht the exceptions being the space battels and explosions. in all other aspects the originals were more "pure" since CGI wasn't quite good enough then to be more convincing than puppetry and animatronics (even now it struggles with the exception of gollum).

oh, and then there's the complete compromise made with Han Solo in Ep. IV - completely ruined the essence of his character.

wrt Ep. III, I heard a rumour that it would be called "The Creeping Fear".

Just out of interest, why do people consider the original (non-special addition) versions of star wars better? I think the special additions are much, much better and i've seen all of them

There are many reasons why I consider the THX remastered non Special Edition to be the best version of the OT. First, most of the additions to the SE really detract, in my opinion. From the now famous Greedo shoots first, to Jabba in ANH, to the removal of the Ewok song at the end of Jedi. Also there are a lot of smaller, lesser noticeable changes that most don't know about. R2's sounds are different, shots are changed, it's just not the origional experience.

On the plus side, however the effects are much better. Esp the battle of Endor is amazing in SE. You don't have transparent cockpits in the snow speeders, ect. So it's a give and take.
