I use my calendar a lot, with way too many appointments. And I think that the views, and presentation of the appointments in the views, is superior than HD2004. Colors aside, I see my appointments quicker, and easier at a glance. that is what I need.

AquaCalendar is more than the standard agenda with 'better paint' in my opinion. The extra views are much clearer; in the standard agenda only the day view is helpful to me, the others aren't. I find the today, period and busy week view from AC to be very informative.

Personally I use Tracker, not Handy Day, but the idea is the same. It makes using the P900 a little easier. Both tools include some agenda functionality, but it isn't good enough for me to stop using AC.

I see your point though. If the agenda was a little bit better, you wouldn't need AC altogether.

PS I didn't intend to offend you or anyone else. I'm sorry if I did.

dvdgremlin. It seems to be a UIQ thing that one app has to have all functions possible. Not like in Palm OS where you have different programs for launcing, contact management, data base management, calendars... This gives a situation where we UIQ-users have apps that grows wider but not deeper.

For me the calendar app has to be a good functional PIM (like DateBk5 for Palm OS) with icons, templates, interaction with contacts, call function and tasks. It's not a question of how good looking the calendar is, it's all about making my planning faster and easier. That's why I use Aqua Calendar on my P900.
(Icons, BTW, aren't just to make the calendar pretty, they give me all my appointments in a month at one glance)

I use Tracker as my launcher (I have also tried Handy Day, but chose Tracker because I could custom make it for my needs). But Tracker's and Handy Day's calendar functions aren't enough for me.

I also use Quick Contacts for my contact management, but not as a launcher, even if it has severla launcher functions (like run and close apps).

hi agiessen,

no I wasn't offended at all but re-reading my post I can see that it could have been interpreted as if I was ! its because text is very flat and doesn't give context without smilies

My comments were because I genuinely feel that there is a gap in the market for a comprehesive calendar/scheduler with quicklinks to other parts of the p900 system.

I dont think that has to lead to bloatware and would have the advantage of facility integration without confusion.

maybe aquacalendar should widen its facilities and give Handynnnn a run for your money

@Hedlasse
Do you really use same time and aquacalendar and tracker and vito quickcontact? If vito is not working on background and you starting it each time make phone call, don't you wait for too long?

Further I agree that both tracker and handyday2004 are aiming wider and not deeper, therefore if you want a good organizer aqua is a must, as it provides flip closed mode, busy period view, separate alarm sound set up for each event, basic contacts' control, apart from all others (icons, templates, different color events) already mentioned.

Last but not least for version2-beta, extreme functionality of jog.

I have always these programs running:
Aqua Calenadar
Tracker
Vito Quick contact
Handy Databank

I have plenty of memory left and can use my P900 as a fast and powerful organizer.
