@ ESTOR,
Well I tried using a friend's DSS-25 sync station that came with her P900 yet it didn't connect; I downloaded the driver from SE site and after installation my PC's device manager indicated that it is working well but the phone monitor did not recognise T230. The SE site listed T230 as one the compartible phones that works with DSS-25. I thereafter tried using Christersson's send file but it says: phone not connected. PLS HELP!!!!

I suggest you use float's mobile agent instead. much less headache.
To use SENDFILE or any SE software, you have to install and properly configure Mobile Phone Monitor (control panel -> Phone Monitor Options) and "enable" the COM port that corresponds to your cable/sync station.

The COM port speed for the cable must be set at 9600 for T230. If you are using SE software, you can do that by Device Manager -> Ports -> COMx -> Port Settings -> Bits per second
If you are using FMA, you can also set it within the program.

just lettin you all know, ive been a way for a while, but ive worked a few things out, and found a trick none of you have mentioned before.
ok, for those having problems, here is the quick way.
use fma, its easy to use, and has lots of tricks.
it seems no one has been able to use all the functions yet, but ive worked a way to use them all, including making phone calls, downloading and uploadin, sending sms, the lot.
ok, baud rate MUST be 9600, make sure none of the comm ports on your pc are being used by anything else,( so it can detect you cable connection easier, can turn them on later) and that fmais turned to comm 4. make sure the rts and dtr are on.
next, turn the irmcsync of(disable), otherwise it wont connect ( found this with all phones ive tried)
than go to connect ( i dont thinki missed anything)
ok, it should connect ok, but at this point you are limited to what you can do, no sms, no calls, and no uploads/downloads ( ive found)
here is that part no one has thought of, once it is connected, turn the irmcsync BACK ON...... this now allows everything to be used, sendin sms, making phone calls, downloadind AND uploading, the lot.
hope this has helped, letme know if it does
cheers

Everything works if irmcSync is turned off

(except for downloading)...did you actually download any picture from your T230?

I concur. IrmcSync remains off and I can do everything on the phone.
In fact, the only thing that I had to change in FMA after installation is the speed being adjusted to 9600. Everything else I never touched.
