Hi richardlusty

Where have you seen that deal by O2 advertised?? I looked on their site and could not find anything on that. I need to get a phone for my wife and she does not like the SE phones. I will buy her the Nokia
6230. Will get the K700 for me on Orange. However, they are asking for £120 upgrade fee. If O2 can get me a decent deal, I will move to them.

thanks

Hi rexgold,

Orange are currently doing a £50 buyback on upgrade. So if you have an old phone to trade in (must be a working handset) they will give you a £50 discount on the K700i.

Hi rex.. i actually work for o2 thats how i know their deals. You didnt see that deal on their web site because their net deals are completely different to their instore deals/tarriffs. If you call down to a store you will see its pretty much any phone free on any tarriff (except for nokia 6600, xda2 and se p900) And also if u r already on o2 the upgrade price is 50 quid. well thats the way it is in northern ireland anyways! And o2 arent bad people.. over here they r pretty much doing the best deals!

For those after a K700 on orange on a new contract, check out www.orangedealer.co.uk.

Collected a new K700 from them today for free on Talk 120 (doubled to 240 for six months)!!

I'm not connected to them in any way, found them on google over the weekend.

Cheers

It's here! After waiting forever for thisphone to be released mine's finally been delivered this morning.

I was quite impressed with Orange, I went into the Orange shop on Saturday and they told me £50 for the phone on a similar contract I was already on with a free BT200 headset, or £50 for the phone on an upgrade. Told them that I'd rather get it free from OSPS with a free BT headset.

Called Orange to cancel my contract, they asked why I was leaving, told them I wanted to upgrade my phone but wasn't willing to pay anything for the privelidge. He said "ok I'll upgrade you for free, how does that sound?" Go on then you've twisted my arm.

He said it would take three working days and to expect it on Saturady, and it arrived this morning. Fantastic.

It's on charge at the moment, but first impressions are, even though it's slightly smaller than my T610 it's feels a lot chunkier and better built.

Considering getting the K700 from Orange (been with them for 2.5 years and had nothign from them, so figure they oew me big time for loyalty)...

I have seen a fair few comments over the web about the Orange customisation. Can anyone provide pictures showing how they have allegedly ruined the interface with their logo?

Interface issues do not trouble me so much as removing functionality. A poster on the Unofficial Club SE site suggests they have removed the shortcut functionality - the ability to change the function the joystick performs when moving in a specified direction.

Comments, pictures....?

The Orange World Icon on the standby/ desktop screen doesn't seem to work. Has anyone else experienced this?
