You sure you are looking in the right place? Run adaware again and see if adaware finds the keys. If it does, then they are definetly there.

Here is what I have so far: Cleaned up all things that I could find with AdAware and deleted them, PRBOLEM PERSISTS.. Followed your guide @masseur, but couldn't find the specified folders... so I still have the problem.... now downloaded SpyBot to give it a try..

I've been an DUMBASS as usual... i tried the guide, AdAware, AVG and SpyBot and nothing seemed to work... so when I was going to uninstall Hot Sync now and reinstall it, I came across this name when i started Start>Control Panel> Remove/Install programs.. Internett Keyword.. well, i gave it a go and clicked UNinstall.. it uninstalled and prompted me to restart.. I restarted and...It's GONE, finito.. Yes!!! I*m so happy

I use Ad-ware once a week and i have no Pop ups out of nowhere, or hijacked browser (that's what happened to Mero), or anything like spyware.
Another advice:
If a popup opens with a question always answer "NO", even if the question is "Are you sure you DON'T want to install...".
This is because the question string can be manipulated, but the yes/no answer cannot. So if you click "Yes" you're telling the browser that you are allowing the "Site" to do something.

@jim, you're right and I always run spybot right after adaware although I have adaware pro (the one you pay for) which comes with ad-watch which is supposed to keep on eye on spyware in real time.
Spybot does often find a few things that adaware doesn't find but I have also found the reverse is true
together they are great!
Same here and I love the new Spybot with the improved real time detections, especially the registry watching which stops any changes in it. My laptop was infected with some malware/spyware/hijacking sh*t and couldn't find the cause of the automatic re-installing after a clean up until I installed Norton Firewall ... it's blocking the connection attempts. So kids, be save and wear protections

.
Btw I use some sort of sniffer ( can't find the correct word now ) on my pc so I can "watch" every connections made by the programs and how much kb it send/receive with an impressive history ( it can have many years of stats

). The use of this ? Well if you are paranoid ... or I use it for sharing programs who eat's up all my upload and I set a limit of 5kb/s
