I not an expert, but people keep saying a new firmware version may help batt life. (IS THIS TRUE ANYONE?)

You can see which firmware version you are using by doing:

Ive had my K700 for just over a month now, originally the battery would only last 2 days but now it lasts for around 7-10 depending on use so god knows what the rest of you lot are doing to it!

I have about 70% signal where i live, signal strength will have a big impact on battery life! Infact if i take the phone downstairs where there is maybe only 0-10% signal i can see the battery level go down accordingly, then go back upstairs and the battery level will go back to what it was.

when i first got the phone i charged the phone for about 8 hours then played with it loads which drained it, charged until it was full again, played until empty and so on about 3 times. Now i only charge it when it nags me!

Send about 10-20 txts a day, 30mins calls per day, 2-3 hours using the radio.

One thing i did notice was that when i used the matrix code as animated background it didnt last as long, maybe 5 days. Now i use a less animated bg and its 7-10.

Bluetooth also absolutely cains the battery!

It just depends on what you do with it! If you not happy with it then get a refund or ask SE for a bigger battery, after all the specs does say 15days standby! or did when i bought mine!

Sounds do able...now running on R2L001..charged it yesterday used it for 3 hours talk still only at the start of the RED....read somewhere that its not the batt that was at fault...but the meter...the batt did have the ability to last 5+ days but the meter made everyone THINK that its dead....

i read that too. but in reality im afraid mine and a lot of my friends dont seem to be that far out on what the meter is saying, it may stay in red for longer than it should but when it says its dead...its deffinately dead! and that is no way 5 days for me, nomatter how much i use it!

What networks are you guys on? One other thing i have noticed with mobiles in the past is the frequency the mobile is working on also seems to make a difference!

Orange/T-mobile drained the battery quicker than Vodafone/O2. There was some scientific reason for it but i forget what it was! Something like, the higher the frequency, the more power needed.

For the record im on Vodafone and dont have battery probs (see post above)

Press a buton to light up the screen again (if you can) and i think you should see the battery charging meter ?
