Hmmm Rooney wont be wanting to drop back, though, i wonder if Fergie sees him playing in midfield? imo he would be at his best behind the front two but Fergie knows a great player, Rooney could probably be a very competent midfielder.

Rooney would be best of starting as an attacking midfielder so he still has the help of the saha/smith and ruud and then move foreward when he feels comfortable but who would he replace? or would there now be 3 attackers? cant see Man U having less players in the back because thats our main weakness-the defence.

He may go orthodox 4-4-2 and go rotation up front - they are all very good players who could lead an attack. An embarrasment of riches up front, but still poor at the back!

Graham Souness at the Toon, bit a bolt out of the blue so I guess all the Scots who play at Rangers and wanna have a go in the Premiership wil be heading to NUFC. Bazza Ferg in Black and White?
Does Fog Horn Leg Horn (Amerouso) still play for Blackburn?

Yes, Big Amo is indeed a blackburn rangers player. I can easily see Souness spending a hunk of woodgates cash on Ferguson, "Bazza" is a top quality player, he just never got to prove it (south of the border, anyway) last season through injury.

Well, its all over the Sun, Souness wants "Bazza". Whats the bets he'll sign him then make him captain once Shearer goes?
