i still dont understand the difference between 900 and 850...because i have a k700i and it works fine on canadas 900 network...so whats the point of 850 if i could just buy the s700

900 and 1800 are the bands used by most Europenas operator. If your operator supports 1800 (since S710a does not support 900), you will be fine.
You could also buy S700i, but then you will be missing EDGE.

I think he just bade a misstake/typo. Both on SE product page and white paper it says S700i supports 900/E900/1800/1900.
