Magic Profiles Pro v1.1 released
Version 1.1 (September 29, 2004). Fixed: sometimes contact lists didn't work after editing; bug with custom SMS (for each contact); cell id wasn't determined after power-on; "Already exist" error in profile add/edit; BlueTooth in Flight mode. Added: you can add cell id manually. Improved: faster loading time; more stability.

@neyo: this is how it works for me: When I leave home (home profile) it switches to the normal/default profile (no associated cell). When I arrive at work it switches automaticalle to work profile. When I go to another office for a meeting, it switches to my meeting (silent) profile and if anyone would call me during that meeting, they receive an sms saying that I will call them back asap. It IS a very good app and defenately worth the money.

Thanks for that basoost. I've tested it today, but pretty much just ran it on scheduler. Set it up pretty nice it seems.

I think the scheduler is more use to me than GSM Cell location because i don't live very far from work! None-tha-less its really nice, i can my Bluetooth enabled @ times i know i need it (Home Syncing with Mac) and off @ work when i know i don't - Saves' battery life! I think i will have to buy this app, and i have to admit i usually begrudge buying apps for a phone.
Thanks for posting.

magic profiles is a great piece of software.however it has an important feature missing.this is the feature of whether you would like your chosen ringtones to play once or be repeated. for example if u create a discreet ringtone (as i have) and use a beep sound as the ringtone then this sound just keeps on repeating defeating the object of a discreet profile, since the beep keeps on playing making a general alert as opposed to a discreet alert.there should be a simple tick box for this situation where the choice is "Repeat" or something along those lines (which should be quite easy for the guys at symbianwave to implement).
Does anybody agree with this or is this already possible and ive missed something?

The black list problem is repaired...but as in version 1.0 sthometimes is working and sometimes don`t. The same problem for the schedule and the automatic profiles changing...I have to open the MPP again and then it change the profile automaticli. Hope ver. 1.2 it will repair all this bugs...till then I will not buy it, or simply I will by Advanced call manager 2.
regards,
P.C.

If you create it yourself, why not implement a silence after the beep. You can make your ringtone as long or silent as you want. For example, make it 4 beeps, with 5 seconds silence between the beeps. Or just one beep with 20 sec of silence after it.
That way, it doesn't matter if it's being repeated....

I have tried everything I can possibly think of to keep a Default profile using the current theme's ringtones. It works until the profile is changed, then changed back. 'Unchaged' doesn't work; 'Default' doesn't work.
'Unchaged' uses the alert that the previously-active profile used, hence the name UNCHANGED. 'Default' uses the default ringtones with which the P900 originally shipped; the DEFAULT ringtones.
This seems like a great piece of software, but you have to specifically select the desired alert. There is no option for the default ringtones that come prepackaged with a theme. That is, if I switch themes I also have to manually modify the ringtone selection that the Default profile uses. I have been told repeatedly that the software supports this functionality, but I have yet to see it working correctly.
Please help!

Idea from another thread: is it possible to toggle the backlight to "always on" in a profile? Could be handy for example if I place the phone in my car-holder, which the phone doesn't recognise as a car-kit (but as hands-free). I know this could drain the battery if the light being on remains unnoticed when the phone is not being charged, but I can imagine it being handy in some occasions?
