Well interesting to see my mates k700 contract phone has the proxy port set to 8080 as default. Found the same to be so on another friends phone, a contract samsung E800. Maybe gprs on contract is free?! This message was posted from a P900

Maybe, I dunno, but all I know is thye better not change it back, 'cause I really want to be able to acces the net on my phone.... When I get it anyways... Has anyone tried using gmail on a p800/900/910i? Basically, does opera support active X controls, or not???

Edit: The below post is really what I wanted to know....

@MikLSP

regarding the beginning of the thread jus to confirm that you are right you dont have to fiddle round with the port numbers after recieving the activation rejected message.jus keep trying and it works.

@all

on the first post in this thread ignore the bit where I wrote about chagning the ports after recieving the activation rejected message when you get disconnected.

soz for the confusion i may have caused.long live port 8080 on o2

Yeah, I thought so
That only occurs due to a network problem such as it's to busy or something

Hmmm.. Does capitalisation matter? I just tried these on my p800, and was charged....

I think i'll try using the capitals, but other than that, what went wrong?? (I am using a p800 with the latest version of Opera browser...)

I have an O2 Online sim in there... (It's a new one, does it need to be activated or anything??)
