@warmrr:
I am an O2 PAYG customer and I am able to send and receive my ISP email by using the GSM wap account. I am guilty of not reading the entire thread so if I have missed something then I apologise.
Regards,
Phil.

warrmr,
for starters, type the pop & smtp address as their ip addresses:
replace pop3.blueyonder.co.uk with 195.188.53.61
replace smtp.blueyonder.co.uk with 195.188.53.60
note: we obtain the IP address by opening a DOS window and typing 'ping pop3.blueyonder.co.uk'...then hit return...this provides the IP address number 195.188.53.61
secondly, you may need to use the smtp address of your isp for sending outgoing mail if blueyonder dont allow sending of mail via another isp's dial-up...come back to this part if you cant send email...test if you can retrieve mail before we deal with sending issues.
thirdly, it may be that you need to get additional settings as your connecting via GPRS, which i've no first hand experience of using, although i've got it activated for MMS, i havent figured out how to surf using it.
i'm and old Genie payg o2 customer.

Having just played with my new xmbox.com maila account - it does exactly that - you can configure it to go and fetch mail from other pop3 accounts.
And xmbox works well on T-Mobile USA on t-zones - no need to change to internet2.voicestream.com or internet3.voicestream.com.
Looks like I answered my own question......not sure if the above will help any other USA T-mobile users on t-zones trying to get their email.
