govigov; No, you wont be able to do like with K700/Z1010 and others, cause there simply is no firmware without Vodafone icons.
O2; Yes there are some phones with no Vodafone logos, but I've seen early prototypes whitout the stickers, but always with Vodafone firmware.
And also, I don't think that IF SE release a Z1020, Z800 or whatever, it wont look exactly like V800. Think about F500/K500.
I have to check the Video part, haven't tried to record long clips.

Fancy V800 you got there....Now some questions
Does the cover leave lots of finger prints. I dunno, the glossy plastic covers look like they would be covered.
Also how does the V800 fair as an MP3 player? Is it the same as the K700i/S700i (as far as Mp3 Goes)
Can you put your own pictures in the external display?
Thats all i can think of now...
Thanks in advance!

aesthetically speaking...i'd be more worried about dust getting into the external speakers than leaving fingerprints on the cover

Sutitan; The black cover leave some fingerprints, the others is better.
MP3-player, I think of it as with the camera, it can't replace a separate device, digital camera or MP3-player. Some people will do it, for sure, you can leave the mp3:s in the background, they pause when you recieve a call and play when you hang on. Theres the equalizer, you can have external memorycards, there will quite sure be stereo headphones like with K700i. So yes, it may work very good as a mp3-player, if you can handle the size and battery time and don't want to pay/walk around with two separate devices.
You can put your own pictures and animations on the external display yes.
lynn; I haven't got anyproblem with dust in the speaker. In my K700i I get some dust on the camera lens, but that's not a problem on V800.

I wouldn't want a V800 with a shit Vodafone software and icons. No thanks. Isn't there a possibility to get direct from Sony Ericsson without branding?
I mean exclusive for Vodafone means that it won't come for other mobile networks, but I think there will be a (expensive) unlocked version too.
Greetings, Alex

@jamin
how did you get a set? unless you are working for voda maybe?
@slass
oh!! i'm surprised, but happily surprised, coz i'd expect alot of dust to get into the huge speaker "holes"
