I had a nokia 3100, and about 2 months later a mate got one brand new.
My 3100 had a much better screen! I think it's just what they companies do, maybe cut down in quality?

Every time i brought my Z1010 to our local SE Service-Partner it looks worse. I've got a new display, but it's to far on the right side. The inside camera too.

so frm the reading about quality screen.... looks like to hv a gd clear/sharp quality screen... buy when it is release... and not to wait for month for the price to drop.. by then u'll get the low budget screen i guess...

Thats right. The first Z1010 production-line had the great quality-screen, but the newer Z1010 have a low-contrast and yellow-white screen.
The blue cover for the Z1010 is new. I'll get it in 2 weeks. The cover costs 19 EUR, the work 25 EUR. Today I've fixed the new and high quality-screen for my Z1010 myself. Wasn't a big deal. Forget the Sony Ericsson Service-Partner. Everytime they repair a Z1010, more things get broken (display was too far on the right, inside-camera was to much on the right, screw-cover was loose) than will be repaired.

the blue cover has been availeble for some time. there's a french 3G operator that sells the Z1010 with blue covers. i was read and article with pics, but i can't remeber where that was.
hmm this screen problem is giving me doubts, i was going to save for a Z1010 but if i get a bad screen i'm in trouble, cause the SE service in Belgium is just terrible, amoung the worst ever. hmm
