The 60's/70's Action Man was the UK version of the US GI JOE of the same time period. Later in the 80's Hasbro in the US bought out GI Joe - A real American Hero whose Hasbro UK equivlent was Action Force which was later renamed in the late 80's to Action Force/GI Joe united and then just GI Joe. GI Joe faded away along with Transformers G2 in the mid 90's when the Action Man line came back in the UK. Hasbro UK released the first 4 new action man figures as large versions of earlier GI JOE figures (Snake Eyes, Stalker, Cobra Commander w/headress and Duke), then came the Action Man character thats around today. About 3 years ago, Hasbro UK restarted the GI Joe line again but does'nt look to be doing as well as the 80's versions.
Transformers-Galaxy Force (Japan name)/Cybertron (Europe name) starts in November 2004 along with a new live action movie being released soon

.
Galaxy force/Cybertron is the continuation of Transformers Energon and Armada. Some of the mechs in Galaxy force look really good so far. Especially Vector Convoy and Starscream. Galaxy Convoy (Autobot), Nitro Convoy (Decepticon) and Master Megatron (Decepticon) also look nice.
