The external screen is pretty small, but I would still say that it's a good image. Sorry the photo isn't in perfect focus.

There are 7 themes on the phone - 4 in the internal memory and 3 on the Memory Stick. Not particularly keen on any of them, so looking forward to some new ones

Not worth me getting it yet. I dont live near a transmitter. I think the nearest transmitter is about 30 miles away.

Looks good...cheers for that! What about the theme shown in the clubsonyericsson.com videos? Is that included? Can you play games with other people across the network? I think I saw that somewhere and also, are the external and internal screens animated? What about the speed of the phone as the Z1010 and other SE phones tend to be quite slow. Does the phone's camera match up to the S700's?

Thanx!

Would a Vodaphone PAYG sim card work in a V800 for normal 2g use ?

Do you think that it'll only be available in countries with 3G? Phone's supposed to be universal or what, I'd say it would be a mistake from Vodafone not to introduce it here in Hungary too. But, if no, then I'll try to go to the neighbourhood (Austria which has 3G) and try to buy one...

Doesn´t make much sense releasing a useless phone does it..
If it did we could have the same phones they have in Japan..
By all means, import one if you like it and use only 2G but it will be a little like buying a Porsche and pull out two spark plugs

That Porsche will be working for me too by the end of 2005, and I'm not the type who buys a new mobile each 3 months... Still, I have a Sony Ericsson T310, that I got 1 and a half year ago. And I think I'll have to wait until 3G to actually buy this sort of phone without it costing my house . Sure I could get a V800 by the time it'll be SIM-free, only that it'll cost at least 100 to 120 thousand Forints, when converted form Euro. Hmm... sh*t.

@TJM
The theme made of swirling bubbles is included, which is not bad. In fact 4 of the themes are like that - just made up of different colours. Not looked at multiplayer games yet. The internal screen is animated much of the time, but I've not noticed anything on the external one - apart from scrolling text at times. The OS feels pretty slick to me. You do see an hour glass at times, but it's only on for the briefest of moments.
