unlocked is NOT the same as unbranded

when buying one unlocked it will still have the vodafone menus and presets in it.

O2 the phone is definitely buying sold sim free (yet branded) in London, you've asked this a million times by now. You need to purchase it and an unlock code as the phone will come locked. Every shop that offers vodafone will have a few in stock.
So stop asking already and make up your mind.

CHILL
read expansions post: it clearly inquires if unlocked means regular menus. It does not.

the part of my post that was directed to you, is preceded by 'O2'

I agree. Expansions if u goin to buy unlocked, it will still have vodafone menus etc. To have a regular menus, you have to wait for an upgrade firmware by themself. For now V800 is still under vodafone and no unbranded V800 is available yet.

I guess I'll have to wait for an update model - e.g. K500 and F500 - but god I really want it now... wonder why Vodaphone hasn't gone 3G in Aus. Has anyone heard about a SE branded version as of late (lol) ? Thanks again!

Cya...

In that case I would sit down and wait for the 'next generation' of 3G phones (hopefully by summer) instead of buying something now that isn't 100% what you want anyway
