@daifuku,
pls pls, we are in Asia will not have sort of branded or non-branded K700i. We just have only Sony Ericsson K700i.
Those consumer who have Branded K700i means they brought from other country which like Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile etc etc... This company will have branded phone with their name inside the phone..

@vanquish..the phones features are excellent,apart from the POINTLESS BLINDING LED,but i wouldn't expect wear and tear to show after only several months of usage.such deficiencies show bad workmanship/components imo.I've had between 10 to 15 phones in a 2yr duration...and out of them all,the only joystick to let me down was that of the k7...and there's a good few on here who have experienced the SAME problem.that is not good at all,especially since esato is not even a fraction of the k7 consumer world!

FM is nice inside, like 15 stations crystal clear.. but it SUCKS on a bus or car, you gotta stick to mp3 in those places (unless you have some really strong stations nearby.. i only have like 3 crap ones.).
daifuku: doesn't really matter. Though i will say, running lithium-ion batteries down to empty is not healthy.. its good to top them off more. To check firmware.. its in the service menu.. its >, *,
As for you others... a branded phone is when a shitty operator like Vodofone takes the k700i, and loads its "customised" firmware onto it, makes the menus all ugly and takes out features. They also take the phone's housing and put their mark all over it.
Oh yeah, and they lock it out to ONLY work on their network, isn't branding fun?
