The amount of SMS that is stored in your phone depend on your Sim card, SIM card alone also came in different memeory storage... Some is 16kb. 32kb, 64kb and even 128kb... Obviously the more kb it has, the more sms it can stored...

Oh well.. This is the 21st centrury you know.. Nowadays we store
sms's in the phone and just use the SIM memory for storage
