You already mention the Z600 after saying SE only have two clamshell handsets, the V800 and Z500, but there is also the Z1010.
With regards to your comments about 3G and EDGE, I must disagree. EDGE has almost no future in Western Europe, it is highly unlikely that Western European networks will implement EDGE as they have already invested huge sums of money in 3G. The Japanese and Koreans are already committed to 3G, and the U.S. is starting to implement 3G services too. This only leaves those markets where there isn't the demand for 3G at the moment, whether through lack of affordabilty on the part of the customer or because the networks don't have sufficient resources to implement it.
As I said previously, NEC have already launched a budget 3G handset in the UK, in fact they have released more than one budget handset, the NEC 338 and the NEC e228 . Motorola have also released a budget 3G handset, the C975, and I would imagine that other manufacturers will follow suit. You can have a look at the current budget 3G handsets
here.
Whether one likes or dislikes 3G, it is almost certainly here to stay, in Western Europe, Japan and Korea at any rate.

I don't think 3G will last, not once my kingdom starts using 4G... yes... then everyone will be jealous and want to be on 4G as well..

@waja800
I doubt he means any of the kingdoms, which make up the United Kingdom as we already use 3G and 4G is a long way off here.
@lor
Unless you live in Japan (not a kingdom), you are unlikely to see 4G for at least a decade, even if you do live in Japan, you will still be waiting for at least five to seven years. I would imagine that by that time most of the developed world will be using 3G as the newtworks start downgrading their 2.5G services and 3G has become more attractive to the average customer.

@Scot,
Waja, Lor and Me live in Malaysia. 3G is just starting here, not oficially out yet, but due any month now from two different telco providers. There are some trials in some areas for a select lucky few. It'll be out any time soon.
We do have EDGE up and running for some time now already though.

what
needs for that is a larger pool of operators offering 3G to the public though.
would they realy shoudl focus on offering a product that covers the old and new...
like quadband gsm with 3g. that way everyone will benefit.

@sanjeevjaya
We don't have EDGE in Western Europe, 3G is being promoted here so the networks won't want to introduce EDGE too.
Do you all live in different kingdoms in Malayasia?
