I'm glad someone's not conforming to all the latest technology and still finds older technology perfectly useable.
I notice a lot of people buying top of the line phones today and they never use the features on it. They just call and text...... why not just get a cheap basic phone that can do this? For example, someone I know has a Motorola V500. He had no idea the phone had bluetooth and what it was nor did he know his phone could play real tones and so on. A friend of mine has a K700i. He doesn't understand half of the stuff you can do with the phone and will never even use most of the features. He was actually a little annoyed with me because I got a K700i when he said he was getting one....out of the 2 of us I'm the one that's using the phone to it's full potential and if it wasn't for me having one, he'd have no one to get him games and tones for his as he doesn't have anything to use to put games and tones on.
I guess this applies to all areas of technology with people buying products with more features than they need. Just what is the point?

i like the idea and the size is a plus point but i'm not sure i could go back to deleting sms's all the time and size of the display is definatly too small when you've got used to seeing a whole text message in one go instead of scrolling. but if that doesn't bother you then all power mate

I had the T28 as replecament phone. I loved it. In the shop they said that everyone who used the phone was charmed.
What's to like:
- size, volume, weight
- design
- the flip - very natural kind of control; makes a lot of sense, holds a lot of functions in a logical way, never equalled
- build quality, way of integrating battery in chassis, idea of easy switch of multiple batteries
- reception & sound quality
- games
- efficient, discreet lights in keypad and screen, nice colour, classy
- the blinking led
What's not to like:
- slow menus
- no wap
- no connection for synchronisation of phonebook/sms
- SMS: no T9, no read receipt
- the blinking led
I think that is you can live with the not-to-like items, you still have a very good phone with the T28 that will certainly raise the interest of 'the knowing' or the design conscious. The T28 brings you back to a more relaxed state of mind.
But I was glad to have my K700 back because I became attached to the extra features, especially the connectivity in so many ways.

Replace a T68i with a T28 - good choice.
I'm even considering to go futher.
I'd like to sell my motobyke (I'm in Asia) and get a bicycle. Much more reliable, no fuel worry, can do the repair myself when necessary...

I started my old t28world yesterday too. I forgot how small it is and the feel of quality. Standbytime sucks though... in comparison with t68i.

I've said in other threads here that my perfect phone would be a T28 with bigger screen and P910i functions! I've had a number of phones since my T28, Nokias, Motos, and just before xmas a P910i. But what did I buy again from eBay? A T28, it is just the best phone is you have to wear a suit for work!! Standby time is pretty bad, but so is the standby on my P910!!! Come on SE, where is the replacement for the T28???? Update it, the quality just isnt there anymore in new phones!
