Thanks alot y'all. The first thing I tried to do in the office this morning isto see if I could transfer my contacts via infra-red to Outlook. Didn't work. As I tinkered blindly, I think I re-activated the ring signal bcos I got a call a few minutes later. There is no SE Service Centre in my city so it is now with a local repairs guy. The phone survive pretty well. I can turn off and on. No sounds, but it vibrated. People calling me b4 this morning says it ringings and rings...

Post a few images to let us see what the extent of the damage is.

Considering it's been run over by two cars and it's still going as far as that when being switched on then I'd say you were pretty lucky with it. If it was me, I'd be expecting nothing more than a non-functional brick. I'd be expecting enough damage just from dropping it from my pocket nevermind that as well as being run over my 2 cars.
If I was you, I'd invest in a new phone or if the price of a new phone is a bit far, see if you can salvage some parts from any other T610/T630 to get it going.

Get out a broom and get all the leftovers. the put it in a box and burry it with a flag on top. Then proudly get a new phone.

I phoned a friend of mine a few months ago and he ignored me, just rang and rang, saw him at work the monday and asked why he hadnt answered, he told me that he had been in the lounge and dropped his phone in the toilet. Took me a few minutes before i realised what he said, then I realised the "lounge" is a dodgy nightclub in the town, and that explains why he didnt go after it and recover it!!LOL!

mine has been dropped in the shower... (long story...) a pool, a bowl of salsa... been completley submerged into a cup of coffee... (thats actually why i joined esato... lol but i got it working) been in the rain for a few hours i my pocket once... (didnt get tooo bad that time) but... after all that.. and a few more mishaps... the phone STILL works... no repairs or anything... cleaned it out... and still works... it will never die!!!! haha good thing too
it seems the t610 holds up better than the t630, but the t630 doesnt show as many scratches

The repairs Guy say it can be fixed. Needs a new screen and casing. The screen costs N7,000 (about $50) and the case N1,500 (about $10). I asked his advice about getting a new phone but he discouraged me about the model I wanted: Sagem My X7. That is about the phone of the same price range as the T610 that is better (?) than my T610. Spending 8.5k to get my phone back now seems very appealing after his advice against the Sagem. I told him I will think about it...

Ni don't buy a Sagem.
Repair your fone or get an other Sony Ericsson.
The k500i is also a good and cheap fone.

Yeah, I'd stick with SE over any Sagem. I wouldn't even consider any Sagem over SE. I've sold quite a lot of them and I wouldn't even think of buying one they're made that cheaply.
