I do not think they will ever lead in terms of market share. The markets are too fragmented and saturated. Also, the turn around time for R&D is not as long as it used to be. Samsung, Moto-crap-ola, and others will quickly adapt and adopt. SE will however gain a larger percentage of market share. Nokia knows that its days as the seller of re-packaged phones are over.

i have to disagree with the way you address motorola because i do think they are doing well at the moment

I did not say that they, Motorola, was not doing well. Their phones have the worse user interface and user experience of all the manufactures. Phones that get little press are made by Siemens. If I was not an SE user, I would gladly have a Siemens. Their interfaces are similar to SE and quite innovative.

Good question. Not sure, but it is a great source of revenue and the OS of SE is very intuitive. My wife is a Finn, and she will even admit that SE is easier to use than her Nokia 6610 (what is with the menu system? Are they serious with this). I sort of see SE in the same way as I see Macintosh. Everyone knows that they are different and in many ways better, but it is so hard to take that first plunge. I made the jump to SE about 5 years ago and will not go back to Nokia for any reason. Siemens before that. By the way, I have a Mac and an iPod or two.

I dont really against Nokia. In fact I used to have some Nokias before SE T610 came out. My last Nokia was 6610 after I lost my 6510. The best Nokia I have IMO the 6510 (at that moment).
T610 is my first SE phone and I still have it till now (not even cross my mind to sell or trade this phone).
Since T610, I only use and prefer SE and will say NO to Nokia for some reasons such as:
1. Series 60 Nokias are bulky (3650, 3660, 6600, etc.)
2. Series 40 Nokias are suck and have very bad and tiny screen (6610, 6220, 6230, etc.)
3. Smartphone Nokias are very bulky (9210, 9500)
4. Most of Nokia's design are very bad and I dont like it anymore.
5. SE is better than Nokia so why should I choose Nokia?

Salaams Aziz.

@Solidsingh,

I think Aziz is saying that he has made his choice for SE and will not go for Nokia. I have not been keeping up with Nokia, but do they have any clam-shell style phones?

Salaam for you: sapporobaby...
I agree with hadiq, it probably Samsung and SE for GSM and it is not Nokia's time anymore. You may refer to GSM Awards nominees and results which there was no Nokia at all on the list.

New clamshell of Nokia? Oh no! Dont ever think to buy any clamshell from Nokia. The king of clamshell is Samsung... (but I dont like clamshell...)
