I don't know about that 1700mAh battery, but my brother happens to own a k700i with the same battery the original poster is talking about, and it lasts significantly longer than the original k700i battery.
I would go for the 1200mAh

My battery(original) have expanded because i talk every day and one day it run out unexpectedly, it made me angry and i charged it with 24 volts(truck's power supply).Then it stopped working,opened it and i there were 2-3 chips and connected to the battery.Then removed them and connected the battery directly.when i turned the phone it said "Charging,alien battery".And the worst thing is when i try to make a call , the phone turns off imediately.
Btw i bought a 600 mAh battery,Chinese made, for 7,5 euro.The only thing i can say is that both of the batteries and battery indicator are full of shit!What a shame!
