If we are talking about apps, SE has introduced VideoDJ app in k750 and w800
now u can edit the vids captured and can add some special effects on them, so no need of a s60 like app here IHMO.
Whiz I can browse almost all the static HTML sites on my k700i...well thanks to Airtel (my service provider) for that
the only thing which differs and DOES matters is a multitasking environment. s60 are capable of doing that.

Even if people do not intend to use the advantages of having a smartphone, its always a good idea to give people the choice to use it.
I own both SE and Nokia phones, and i can say hand on heart that whilst S60 phones are great for what they can do, they're not really anything groundbreaking or something SE is missing out on.
Not even the mighty P series with its UIQ interface is all that advanced in my eyes. Symbian S60 or UIQ applications always seem rather limited in their scope and capabilities when compared to applications made for Palms or Pocket PCs, thats why i stick to my K700i and PDA combo.
However, in future phones id like SE to consider using a Symbian interface in all their phones. Only recently i was disappointed about not even being able to check the time on my K700i whilst browsing through GPRS.
Its all about choice, and id like the option to choose what i want to do on my phone all at the same time.

Hmmm...Vineet, multitasking is important for me too. No doubt the K700 is a brilliant phone, but it ain't the one for me. Why should i buy one. When a S60 will offer me more memory, excellent web browsing capability, at a price less than a K700?

Guys, for me, better choose PPC app than S60 app. PPC app more usefull than S60. Believe me.

PPC is very good .... but not many peoples like it ... coz it's huge sized
& some times slow with a very uncomfertable interface & the batt is very weak ..... although it a very good idea .....
but you better wait 2-3 years & then ... every thing will be smart ...

I couldn't see the point of a smartphone until I found that I could afford a cheap P800 and then it became indispensable. I still use my T610 for voice and use the P800 for browsing, email and MP3. However UIQ is clunky and I suppose S60 is worse. I am certainly in the market for a new symbian smartphone so I can ditch the T610 and think the new Sendo-X looks the best value for money so far. I can't see SE doing a cheap light-weight P1000.

Yeah, you're right. But PPC is more usefull than symbian. Besides, my iPAQ can connect well to SE phone. With symbian, you can't do nothing if you want to do more with SE phone.
