Besides the usual daily routine of using the phone for voice call, SMS & PIM, l would normally start the day updating my mobipocket eNews thru dial-up internet connection while the P900i is charging in the cradle. My eNews are Inq7(my local newspaper), BBC news online world, Time.com Asia, Gizmodo, The Scobleizer, Businessweek & The Gadgeteer. l would also drag & drop quickword & quicksheet documents l need to work on. These will be my reading materials for the day plus various eBooks l use for reference l have in my 512mb memory stick. Ocasionally, l do my reading listening to my mp3 collection or the radio (hpr20) on the background. I record all my daily expenses using Handy Expense.

During the day when l am in the coffee shop, l would normally browse the internet to get the breaking news & check on Esato or do some research. In between all of this, l would check my email & sometimes to help kill time, l play solitaire. Since l do a lot of reading, I have the oxford thesaurus & dictionary integrated w/ my mobipocket reader. It is very handy to use because all you need to do is select the word you want to look up and the definition is automatically shown. If by chance the word is not available, then l will open Advance English Dictionary 2003, my other dictionary. When l need to convert some unit of measurement or currency, l use WorldMate.

As the need arises, while in the mall most of the time & while window shopping, l use the CommuniCorder to take pictures & videos of things that interest me. l would also use the still camera to take a photo of the price tag of various consumer items for future reference.

Once or twice a month while attending an oversight committe meeting of which l am a member, l use the sound recorder to take note of important matters being discussed. l then drag & drop this file in my PC for my record when l get home and to playback some items for verification.

You might be wondering with all this reading & malling, when do l find time to work. Well, as a retired marketing man, l now do consultancy work for the company l used to work for. Since these are mostly reports on market analysis of consumer brands, that explains the need to read a lot & window shop .

Without my P900i, l cannot enjoy this kind of life style where l spend most of my time in the coffee shops in the mall doing my reading & drafting of reports. My office is my favorite table in my favorite coffee shop. It can be anywhere, wherever l am.

Without my P900i, I would be confined doing all these in the house infront of the PC getting bored/sleepy or carry a cellphone & laptop or a cellphone, clie PDA & a cybershot which l used to do before the age of the all in one smartphones.

Without my P900i, l cannot imagine how l will run my life.

Outside of work, I just use it as a regular mobile phone. At work, I synchronize it everyday with MS Outlook for those calendar and task entries, use it as a "notebook" during meetings, transfer files to and from the office, and as an mp3 player on my commute to and from the office.

I use my p910 for the usual phone stuff, messages, check share prices on the net, checking traffic using i-traffic so I can see if I'm gonna be delayed in getting to a meeting.
I don't listen to music (as I'm usually in the car and have the car stereo on) but occassionally I go to London on the train so am thinking of getting London Tube pro. When I go on the train I sometimes read through some doc's I've downloaded.

MP3 playing on this phone is going to be huge when some 4GB and more Duo Pro cards come out later this year/early next.

my use for P900...
let's put aside all functions that a normal phone can do (i.e. making a call, SMS)...
---
first thing, MSN... when i'm out, i can still be connected, i even subsribed a cheap data plan for this, MSN is quite important to me, and everybody's on it... so having it mobile is great...
---
web-browsing, didn't use this as much as i thought i would... when i do use it, usually is when i go to ca.maps.yahoo.ca to look for where i am... and when i'm bored outside, i browse to here at esato to read news... (and other forums)... also if i'm outside, and i don't know the number of the restaurant i'm going to, i browse it...
---
quickword: didn't find this particularly useful, when i'm on the road, i'm certainly not in the mood to work!!

quicksheet, however, is a great thing... i use it to record things my expenses, since you can program the different functions in different cells, it's very useful... well,,, i use it to keep track of my spending so i don't get in trouble for running out of money...
---
games: games are great... if you wanna play the most impressive games, you play it on a computer... PSP can't be compared to a computer... so on the road, p900 games become perfect... they're simply for relaxation and something that guides you away from stress. These games are awesome...
---
camera: it's a great feature... i'm not a believer in high mega-pixel camera... because even if you shoot it at 5, 6MPixels, when you wanna look at the pictures, you shrink it down to 1280x1024 (typical maximum resolution for LCD) or 1024x768 (to be able to see everything in the picture)... and i don't believe anybody actually prints their pictures with an inkjet... it's much more expensive than developing films... so, p900 camera comes in handy, of course, it's only a phone and there's limitation on the quality, but it's good enough to record the moment of happiness... (i do have a canon 5Mpixels camera, rarely use it tho, i use it to "copy" class notes). Because pictures, for me, are used to remind me of what's the good thing happened that day, or the place i went
---
MP3s: now that my phone plays MP3s, i don't need to carry my yepp together anymore... one phone that can be used in many ways... bringing a earphone is a bit annoying tho... tangles up everytime if i don't put it away properly... i'm a classical musician, all the music i listen is classical mostly, so they are well "numbered" so having no playlist isn't an issue for me as for other people...
---
mobile drive: i have a 512MB memory stick duo pro... and i also own a SanDisk ImageMate mobile MS reader, it's so small just like the size of a USB flash drive, so i can take the MS off my phone, put in the usb dongle, plug it into my friend's computer and copy stuff
---
sound recorder (well, i used a different program that records at 96kbps), it roughly records my piano playing... not high quality for sure, but enough to demonstrate the idea
---
movies: i didn't find this very useful... compressing movies takes time, so i watch all the movies on my computer....
