Amras i love the screen of S700 too,i'ts so perfect and nothing beats the S700 style.
Think I'm gonna wait for the S700 successor and you know what SE said "Patience Never Goes Unrewarded"

@Amras. You seem to be confused about the screens of the S700i and the K750i.

The screen of the K750i is not brighter than the S700i.

They are both exactly the same (262k TFT) apart from the size.

I don't see the point of having so many should i go in for s700 or k750i, which one is better n90 or k750i....and so on and on and on....

Just search the forum, you know what are the features of a k750i, you know what are the features of the s700....you can decide by yourself.

The phone is'nt out yet....

This post would make more sence when someone actually owns a retail version of the phone and can give you an actual feedback.....

The thing that is s700 users from outright getting the k750 is the fact that SE could announce the s700 successor and have it out by Q4, just like the k700 last year. Really hyped phone, then when it came to it if you waited 4-5 months you could have had an s700.

I know. There is always that danger and Q3 starts in just over 2 weeks time so there might be more phones announced.

After the Z800 K600 etc advised they were not going to announce any more phones in the first half of the year and I remember reading that they were releasing more than 8 handsets in 2005, so there may be at least 2 more to be announced this year.

Plus they admitted in early Q2 that they have a mature line up which may be affecting profits so they may want bring forward the release date for any handsets that are in the pipeline.

I would hate to get a handset to find a new better model released jjust after so I would wait to see if anything is announced in June and if not then go for your choice.

Edit: Q3 six weeks time

Cant wait untill there anounced!
1 will be the p910 successor
The other im hoping for is a s700 successor but a symbian style. Then they'll be much more of reason to upgrade to it. There wasnt much difference between k700 and s700 last year. Feature wise they were practiclly the same.

If you have the money aswell a patience then i would suggest gettin the k750 and then gettin the successor of the s700 IF there is one.

I cannot see SE releasing the S800i with a Symbian S60 interface.

In fact, id rather they didnt.

Why do you wish they shouldnt?

S700 is too similar to the k700. And now that the k750 improves on all the k700 faults such as exp mem, mega pixel cam... is it really going to be worth a £100/200 extra just for a bigger screen?

This is why i believe sonyericsson should enhance there model. Either make it symbian or make a whole new model which specialises in something for instance 'cybershot'

Simply because i dont want my SE phone looking and functioning like a S60 Nokia.

I have a couple of S60 phones, and i prefer my SE's everytime.

If SE want to bring smartphones to everyone, such as phones like the K750i, they should either develop their own smartphone OS, or use the Symbian OS but install their own interface over it.
