Here in the US, we have to pay for the good phones (or get the crappy worthless phones for free), sign a 2 year contract and pay atleast $40 every month for the service plan.

its the same in the uk man, only if you pay will you get good phones, again it does depend on your contract, if you have an exspensive contract ( some go up to £90 a month ) you can have pretty much any phone you want for free

One other thing what colour is the backlight behind the buttons? Some say its white, blue or purple? I remember when the k700 came out there were some with the white light buttons and some which were more purple.

My main question would be about the battery life, but it will take you a while to tell is that.
Hopefully this means that the 'floodgates' are open and fingers crossed the phone will be widely available in the UK very soon. Im getting itchy fingers now!
