Is the macro mode on the K750i better then the pre-release N90?

Better in what way ?
N90 can take pictures at closer range than K750 (something like 5 cm/2" vs. 10cm/4"). Quality wise they are similar from what I have seen.

In my opinion the camera phones will/are replacing typical small point & shoot type cameras.
They won't replace dSLR's with high MP and or the new 5MP super zoom cameras suchas Canon S1/S2, Sony H1 etc for more proffesional shoots in varying light conditions & special uses such as Sports/Macro.

i think the k750i is a great lil camera phone to have.....
of course...not when u compare pictures with some professional digital cameras...
i still think its very sufficient for everday use!
cheers k750i!

Here are some photos I have taken using my K750i (R1BC002). Note: In the right hands the K750i is far better than a camera, also I sometimes use "Noiseware" a software which allows you to reduce the amount of noise in your mobile photos, which is useful..
I will soon take photos with my old K700i and compare them with my K750i.

The W800i and K750i really take excellent pictures, but ONLY when there's enough light. The outdoor performance is good, but indoors or at low light I really prefer a 'normal' digicam. Noiseware improves the pictures significantly but also takes away a bit of the sharpness.

My Casio Exilim got 3x optical zoom, and 640x480 30fps mpeg4 movie mode, 7.2 megapixels.
No cameraphone is gonna top that.

And a DSLR would own ur Exilim any day. So?
It's not about who tops who.
Pictures taken with K750i/W800i are good enough for print for normal 3R sizes.
Wanna bring a long a separate digicam? Why even bother?
