I am having lots of trouble trying to get the correct files to upgrade my s700i to R3M008 US_1 because DaVinci seems to have problems with this combination. When I select the R3M008 US_1 firmware and opt to download both the Main Firmware and the File System, the only file that is successfully downloaded is S700i_MAIN_EMEA1_generic_R3M008_CID29.BIN the other file called S700_FS_US1_generic_R3M008_CID29.BIN fails to download and all I get is a zero size archive.
The question is why is it downloading an EMEA1 file for the Main Firmware and why is it failing the download of the File System file??
I wonder if this will be fixed soon... anyone has the files I can download?

Does anybody have a clue of what is wrong? What is this error code 0x005556?
I followed all the steps mentioned on Davinci manual files (including DSS-25 patches).
Please, any help!!!

I had a similar problem when I first tried to flash my V800. But found when I did a "Read CID / Test Cable" the software automatically set a new connection speed for my cable. Everything worked the second time, and no lost credits because it did not reach the finalization.

Sounds like alex could do with you emailing the S700i firmware files, as he is having trouble downloading them.

That EAccessViolation at that 000000 address means that it is trying to access something that is not refrenced anywhere. Usually because a dll was not loaded. Make sure you downloaded all the files needed included I think the patch files for the DSS-20/25 if that is what you are using.
