> Girl raped in happy slap attack

This sort of stuff upsets, disconcerns and angers me. It upsets me because people who are involved by becoming the victims of these happy slap attacks are not to blame, they are unfortunate and have no choice in the matter, it is much a sneak and attack with no defence.
It angers me because the people doing it nowadays cannot think in their own ways, that this degrades the social status of teenagers - including myself - as a whole and degrades the UK as a country.
Sick, disgusting, awful, all the names under the sun indeed, except clever, shame really.
This chav culture is being accepted nationwide, these are terrors aswell, sort these people out, block their phones, smash their ankles in. Do something that stops them and save us all.

Society should go back to the old days, when teachers had the authority to spank the kids. When they misbehaved they got their a$$es straightend out in school and when the kids came home then they got it again from the parents. Now that were the good ol' days.

You never seen jackass or any other such tv show on mtv?
You never laughed at someone else misfortune, never seen you been framed or kirsty's home videos etc???
sure we see jackass and home video shows and the rest but thats really no comparison to make as their is a huge difference between reality and entertainment..Although it is human nature to laugh at someone else's misfortune,it simply does'nt make it acceptable behaviour to inflict it on others.

It sure is wrong what these kids are doing but its us (population at large) that is to blame.
When at school if there was a fight what happened? Yes thats right everyone crowded round to watch. Now days you dont have to crowd as someone will film it on their phone and bluetooth it to you later.
How can you blame the mass population for this kind of behaviour?..when i was at school we used to gather around fights, but that never inspired me to go around and do the same,on the contrary it put me off getting involved in confrontations, even if we did have mobiles at the time i don't think myself and my immediete circle of friends would have used them for anything more than sharing pics of naked girls...Your justification for the argument is that its ok because society encourages or even enjoys such things??...I don't know how you came to that assumption but thats like saying just because we see murder and killings in the media its ok if it goes on?

The answer? There is not a simple one but i would be all for stricter punishments. Happy slapping offences should carry a mandatory ban on owning a mobile phone just as hacking carries bans on owning pc equipment.
I think the solution to happy slapping should be of course strickter punisments firstly imprisoment and community service and the parents of these kids charged with neglegence and at least a 5 year ban on owning a mobile device....But first and formost i think education and teaching respect for society begins at home and again it all boils down to the parents..another thing parents should do is go check their childrens phones for such videos and images just so to keep a tab on their kids.

This is terrible, I used to think this whole happy slapping stuff was just fake, to make a couple of funny video's etc. I feel really sorry for this kind of stuff.
On a lighter note, I wonder when Oprah will have a special episode on this.
