> Whats the point of the K750?

For the K750 side:
1. K750 has less internal memory : It doesn't matter cuz K750 has external memory expandable up to 4GB. Why are you concern about the less of only 3 MB when K750 gives you the chance to upgrade the memory larger? Even you can't afford to buy 2MB or 4 MB MSD-Pro, it gives you 64 MB MSD-Pro in the package.
2. It doesn't have camera vga : It has 2MP camera and you don't need a vga camera anymore. Why are you still looking for a vga camera if K750 provide you far better camera? Your comparison sounds stupid too me.
3. It doesn't have the rs232 cable support : USB support is better than RS232 man...
4. It doesn't have a internet or navigation keys : what are you talkin' about? Have you seen K750 by yourself?
For the K700 side:
1. It hasn't got the memory stick duo : you're right.
2. Less battery life : yes, K750 would be better.
3. It doesn't have instant messaging : it's not true, K700 has "My Friends" as instant messaging and you can also installed a Java application for it.

@Rifqi - Well said. As regards instant messaging, as you know, the HK version of the K700i (like mine) doesn't have My Friends. I installed cMessenger and it works, but not as well as it does on MIDP 1.0 devices like my old Nokia 7250i! It seems that J2ME I.M. programmers out there have lost interest in perfecting the MIDP 2.0 versions.
@cornholio -- Well, buddy, if you don't need a VERY GOOD phone camera (i.e., if you've got a digicam and don't take a lot of snapshots on the fly) and if you don't need lots of expandable memory, and if you've already got a K700i, no need to upgrade to K750i.
However if you have neither of the 2 phones now then by all means get the K750i. I'm happily surprised at its low introductory price! It's so much better than the K700i, for the reasons mentioned by our friends here.

man, i dont know if u just woke up or somethin, but u need to read the thread from the beginning. u mixed me up with some1 else
look at my signature to get a clue.(apparently my signature cant be seen, but anyways, im a K750 user

i think Rifqi_Aziz was talking to me. at the beginning of the thread i said the comparisons were taken from the sony ericsson website, so forgive me if i've missed any of the K750's features. i only know the k700i's features because i have one. i based this thread on what i saw on the sony ericsson website, and i think they haven't given much information on both phones capabilities. basically on the sony ericsson comparison page there are hardly any differences between phones. the website didn't say anything about the K750's 2 megapixel camera (well on the comparison page anyway). funny thing is on the sony ericsson website they are charging about £200 for a K700i and on the orange website it was £130!

if cell phones never became so advanced, and stayed at like the Nokia 7210/Sony Ericsson T68i stage... then there wouldn't be so much drama. haha, but seriously, like buying a phone wouldn't be so hard to decide because all these new phones come out once you buy yours. But anyways, i'm glad i got my K750i. Way better than my Nokia 6230

The K750 has:
Better screen, nicer menus, brighter screen, better camera, better flash, better video recording, shutter to protect camera, nicer 'camera' noise, comes bundled with better extras, has MSduo support, nicer design, sexier design, and great phone to have.

You say that the website does not mention the 2meg-a-pixel camera? What site were you looking on, or were you really to lazy to look at the specifications page, because it took me all of 9 seconds(very fast internet connection) to find it. Here it is:
