Thanks a lot

I had the same problem of low Standby Time after flash two of my T68m with R5D007 (BT works fine on both and my laptop).

I downgrade one of them with R2E006 and recovered the normal Standby Time.

I will try to downgrade the other one with R5C001 to see if the Standby Time could be recovered or not.

rog,

Actually I have an older T68m and flashed it with the R5D007 firmware and it works great with the Parrot kit! Haven't tried it with the PC yet. I think there is an issue with the AT&T T68i phones and the R5D firmware....

I flashed both phones with WaikinCheng's R5D007.
T68m works fine
T68i bt problems

I justed flashed sevenfires R5D to my AT&T T68i and the bluetooth still doesn't work.

You need 1 log to unlock and 1 log to flash.
So you will need 2 logs.

I would hold off flashing until we figure out why some phones lose functionality when hard flashed. (Bluetooth failures and bad battery times) But unlocking is safe. I used http://www.unlocking.co.uk, they had some problems with one of their servers but I think they have it fixed. Last night their server was working for me.

If I upgrade to R5C from R3B and Bluetooth doesn't work, will Bluetooth work again if I flash back to my old FW version of R3B?

HardRoc,

I suggest don't bother flashing your R3B to R5C if you didn't experienced any problems.

I didn't find that much of difference between R3B and R5C, as I did one R3C -> R5C. R3B has been trouble free for me so far.

If you flash it there's a chance your BT not connecting with PC. But it's all up to you.

I have got frmware ver. R2B on my T68i and I experience from time to time very long boot up time...Very weird. I'm still reluctant to upgrade when seing all the before mentionned BT problem + I'd like a file that includes French and preferably a 'clean' one

Standby Time after FW upgrade to T68i

I like to share my experience of my two T68m upgrade to T68i

Before Upgrade to T68i
T68m
HW R1B
HW R4B
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Average around 280-300 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 5-6 hours.

After Upgrade:
2 x T68m >> T68i R5D007 (ie) English / Chinese
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Average around 50-55 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 7-8 hours.

Flashed R5D007 (ie) English / Chinese >> R5D007 (i) English / Eastern European
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Average around 50-55 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 7-8 hours.

Flashed R5D007 (i) English / Eastern European >> R5C001 (i)
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Average around 50-55 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 7-8 hours.

Flashed R5C001 (i) >> R3C001 (i) ATT
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Average around 50-55 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 7-8 hours.

Flashed R3C001 (i) ATT >> R3A023 (i) Cingular
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Average around 50-55 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 7-8 hours.

Flashed R3A023 (i) >> R2E006 (ie) English / Simple Chinese
IR and BT work fine.
Standby Time: Restored to normal around 310-280 hours.
Talk Time: Average around 11-10 hours.

After all, I will stay with R2E006 (ie) and not to attemp to upgrade till a fix is available.

VS6XFX,

How are you testing the BT connections? I can pair with other devices with my T68i, however when I try to communicate any further with them it doesn't work.

Anyone having problems with a non AT&T phone?

I actually transfer phonebook between the two phones, also access via my laptop with BT and they all been working no matter with FW is in. The main problem I had with the newer FW is the Standby Time reduced too much and the Battery Gauge actually goes down quick.
