I am not using bluetooth, nor do I have it switched on (phone or PC). I am using the USB Cable that comes with the phone directly attached to my desktop at work and have also tried it on two different laptops. All of these computers charge my k750i without any problems, but not the k800i.

Well this isn't the first time this has been seen. The K750 was the same, it would charge up to around 90% on the USB, but no more, quite a mystery really, no extra power is required to charge it that 10%more... think it might just be one of those things, unfortunatly, I haven't had the opertunity to try it out myself.

Charging upto 80% would be fine, my problem is that is just doesn't charge at all, Yesterday I had 10% battery left thought I would give the USB Charging another go, came back about 40mins later and the phone was dead, the battery was totally drained.

No, thats quite strange, it should charge, and the USB charging option is switched on?

Then, maybe its a stupid question, but do you have USB2.0, if you're using 1.1 then it won't charge.

Other than that, I should take it back, because it would seem quite clearly faulty.

Drivers have NOTHING to do with the charging.

Actually they do...
The USB drivers that is, for example, USB1.1 will not provide power to any connected device, whereas USB2.0 does.

Yeah the service setting is set to USB Charging On, I am using USB2.0, tried it on a few machines just in case is was computer related, but it wont charge. This is the 2nd k800i I have had and both of them will not charge.

Does anyone else regularly use the USB cable to charge their k800?

The same computer with the USB Cable that came with the k800i will charge a k750 and W800, so it can't be computer related. Its not something that Vodafone could switch off in their customisation?

That's patently untrue, I'm charging mine just fine on USB1.1.

Prove this. The drivers are for communications pirposes only. Not to tell the USB to provide power. Also, please provide proof that USB 1.1 provides power. As I have stated, I could be wrong but I have never heard of USB 1.1 providing power. USB 2.0 does.
