@Bondizi and Zulan

On my P990 BBC337 does work as before (autostarts, tries to connect, no crashes, can connect to BB desktop, have the Blackberry folder in messages, etc) and according to the people at the Swedish SE call centre BBC337 should work with the new version.
Will continue trying today to see if I can get it to work however I'm a bit concerned that my problem could be due to a network issue since I'm on a Singtel SIM but currently in Sweden.

On the New update, can the phone be put on silent by pressing keys on the keyboard in flip off mode?

Everyone keeps referring to the various CDA versions and with /1 and /2 being the worldwide generic unlocked version of the phone. I purchased an unbranded, unlocked phone in Indonesia (ie. I paid full price which was about $800) which shows a CDA version of /8. Why would this full price, unbranded phone not be able to be updated with the new firmware for the worldwide version?

At the time of purchasing I assumed it was a generic, unbranded/unlocked phone that would be able to accept the worldwide firmware updates, if this is not the case then where would I have had to purchase the phone to get a /1 or /2 version CDA? By the way I purchased the phone over 4 months ago and stopped using after a few days of use because of its unreliability, it kept resetting and crashing which doesn't make for a good business phone.

@ PeterKay: I don't think so. I tried pressing/holding the c, *, #, etc. with no luck getting it into silent mode. Still looks like we have to use the screen. Maybe next update?

After the upgrade to R9, the latest, can anyone confirm if the flash MXE-60 works?
