If charging while the phone is on, it hits 100%... switch it off and there's still about 10% left to go. The phone will charge a good 20-30 min more while off, and your phone will stay charged quite a bit longer.
Where exactly do you see it is 10% left ?
For me when doing this, the LED remains green and screen briefly shows a battery with a lightning (no battery % is shown at all). When starting the phone again shortly afterward the battery meter shows something like 98%.

When the phone is off, there's a graphic of the battery with an approx 10% gap left before the battery graphic shows a full battery. If the screen goes off, briefly press the power button to see the charging status while the phone is off.

i am noticing a few ||||||| that goes up at the centre of the home icon, then goes down.
see the pic below and observe closely. sorry for the out of focus pic
any idea what caused this?

I had same thing on my Xperia U strip it's just the pattern inside of the antenna I think but it's hard to make out on your photo too blurry

its visible even if the lights are off. you just have to put it under the light

i called sony glorietta, they said its 850 pesos to have it replaced. they're still gonna check it if it can be covered by warranty
