SGS5 has 5min time limit for 4k videorecord , precaution from overheating.

5min 4k video = 1.66Gb

I don't think id even record in 4K anytime this year. Theres just no need imo right now.

I cant even play it back on anything to even see the difference.

Well,my pc played it back all jerky when I had the Note 3. But my pc is quite basic even though it has Windows 8.1

I'm in the same boat... most of these new phones with 3+ GB of ram out do my little old Windows 8 pc which only has 2GB of ram...

Yes,my pc isn't awful it was one that came from Aria PC online with no OS inside I had my own. Has 4 gig ram,dual core etc and a Gigabyte motherboard. But 4K video is a no no

ridiculous just how powerful these modern smartphones are, I'm also in the same boat, my Acer laptop struggles with 4K, I have yet to try playing 4K on our 2012 iMac 21.5" though, thats got 8GB RAM, Intel Core i5 and NVidia Geforce GT 640M, I think it would be fine, I think.

My laptop has 6gb of ram and an i5 cpu, but without the screen resolution theres not much point either way surely ?
