Is 1 purple much darker than Z series?
At least in photos it looks closer to blue.
Z series was bit closer to pink than blue.
I hope they also bring back the green (Z3c), copper (Z3+), blue (xz) and chrome (xzp).
This phone would look beyond stunning with mirror finish chrome. 😍

Is this a serious post or an attempt at a dig?... I'll assume it's serious, perhaps you're not that au fait with the technology industry, which is all good. We can help you!
Unbox Therapy is a technology channel on YouTube - it has over 14 million subscribers which makes it
the most subscribed technology channel on YouTube.
Over the past few years all Sony flagship devices have not been covered by the major YouTube tech channels, such as Unbox Therapy and MKBHD which is a shame given that Sony have made some great devices and also means Sony lose out on consumer awareness and a form of advertising from these channels with huge viewership numbers. If you watch the video, Lew himself says that he can't even remember the last time he reviewed a Sony smartphone.
The previous devices perhaps haven't quite been up to scratch in order to gain attention - however with the Xperia 1, it's the first device in years which has managed to do so, With the size of audience these channels have, to finally be featured again is an absolutely massive achievement.
And this, is why it is 'something special'.
If you haven't heard of Unbox Therapy before you should check it out! In my opinion he's maybe not always completely unbiassed but he's actually getting better at that, and even if not it's a great way to see the latest technology that's coming out!
Enjoy!

I like Unbox Therapy, he picks out the little things that make a difference similar to myself. The smallest details usually make me choose a phone and he seems to pick those out unlike the generic reviews where everything is quantified. Sometimes you can like something that isn't necessarily the best, it's an emotion based decision.

Yes. Because 99% of top tech websites - those fancy ones - don't give a f... about Sony smartphones for years now.
So yes, in this context it's actually super exciting and special. And Unbox Threapy is like the best/the biggest one concerning viral tech.

i can understand unbox therapy is a big channel on youtube. but it's just another tech review site. perhaps his review will influence enough people to give sony some sales ..
i suppose it's 1 step forward in the right direction.
