I read In Cebit Samsung announced the development of 7MegaPixel sensor with sony collaboration or the throwing of phone with this module so why sony put only 1.8 mega pixel in K750 ??? And it's possible to have 7mp in the next generation of Se phone ???
Just because theres higher spec technology available, it does not mean it can be put into phones straight away.
Humans have now been to the moon, but you dont see NASA selling rockets in shops, do you ?

Hi,
Why do people keep saying its 1.8 megapixel, when it is actually 2mp??
1632x1224 = 1997568 !!
Cheers,

@numb, good points, and of course I support employers banning phones of any kind let alone Camera phones. It doesn't stop with cam phones. Small cameras, silent cameras without phones all exist which can be used to take covert pictures. And as you say, cams are banned in many places already, so why the issue? I've got no problem with cameras being banned for specific situations.
"Enforcing cameranoise (in some countrys by law) is actually a way to try and prevent a direct general ban on cameraphones. You can have it either way, total ban on cameraphones in many situations where youd still like your phone available, or cameranoise, take your pick."
Excellent point, I agree. I guess it just comes down to the KSHHHSHLAAACCKKK sound of the K700i, (which would solve the zoom problem because it's so loud!!!)
But regarding photography, I am interested in camera phones because it means I always have a camera on me. I have hundreds of nature and bird shots taken with my phone, which I simply wouldn't have if I had to carry a dedicated camera around with me everywhere.
By candid I meant that the people know I am taking photos (and I'm talking about family BBQ's, not public beaches), but the crappy K700 noise is very distracting, people laugh or make funny looks, and it often destroys the spontaneity of the situation.
By baby, I mean my niece whose mother (my sister) I may be visiting and therefore not have a camera (other than my phone) with me.
I still maintain that there are many legitimate reasons why someone would want a silent or atleast a much quieter camera sound.
It's sad that perverts make it an issue really.

I see your points, and yes there could be lots of situations where a cameraphone can come in handy, because one doesnt have ones regular camera around as much as ones phone. Im also convinced that 90% of those that dont like the camerasound dont have faul plans, but simply find the camerasound annoying. And Im also completely convinced that you are amongst those 90%
I dont like the camerasound either, I dont want it either, but Ive just come to accept it for reasons I find more important than my own personal ones. And I find that many of those hardcore camerasound haters that blame SE etc. simply cant see the bigger picture.
Best thing would be if we were able to turn it off, if thats not possible for reasons known, then secondbest is they incorporate a nicer sound that doesnt make us feel stupid when we take a picture.
Basically I think we agree max

Note: Check the first pic... it appears Tmob will have two editions of the D750. One will be a silver K750 and the other a silver W800! What do you think?

Your right we recognized easily a K750 and a W800 in silver edition and i hope it's not reserved for T-Mobile because in France we haven't T for Network and because i prefer debrandee phone. in seconde pics i view the ridiculous screensize of k750 compared with the enormous screen of S700

the K750 comes with something called VideoDJ™ -- will there be software on the CD that can convert your existing video files to the right dimensions and file size (bit rate, sound, etc.)?

no, VideoDJ is a small applikation on the phone that lets you cut and combine videoclips and pictures
to create video for the phone on your computer you need to buy 3gp/mp4 converter software.
