these european sites in their spec seem to say that they offer the quadband version. does that mean they're also triband 3G and will work in North America?

You know if you buy the version without 850 3G you'll regret it.....just wait for the NAM X10 (unless, of course, you use T-Mobile)! I'm very tempted to order the first X10 I can find - Euro or NAM - but I definitely
do not want to spend this much on a phone and not get the best 3G coverage possible. Like I said before though, I just really hope we don't get stuck waiting months upon months for the 850/1900 3G X10 to be available.

yea i definitely don't want to be stuck without AT&T 3G coverage. But I don't know how long I can wait before I have to give in and get another phone. I don't want to wait more than 2 months to get the north american model...

Unfortunately all bets are off.. £499.99 is the cheapest that I have seen this available for pre-order here. And that's after Expansys reduced the price they were quoting to match Play. Clove are still listing as £517 inc. vat.
Whilst this is a lot of cash, I am fairly hopeful that with contract the handset should be quite affordable. As these sort of prices aren't uncommon for new sim-free models. Does seem odd that the Vivaz is less though? But that is available free with contracts of £30 p.m. so fingers crossed.

I'm hoping that it'll be closer to £35 on an 18 month or £30 on a 24 month.
I'm guessing it'll be priced similar to the HTC HD2 and other phones of that range.
