I hope they'll go with matte metal and black color option. Not whole black. If the new FCC device is the flagship phablet (not a midranger) Sony will have my money on September. Simply great.

The dimensions can't be for the entire device, still needs a top and bottom bezel, so that could be another 1 cm at the top and 1 cm at the bottom. As I mentioned before, size wise, we could be looking at something like this.

for z ultra the fcc measurements are for the whole device. did fcc changed they way of measurements since then? we would like to think not.

The pdfs are not filed by the FCC I believe, but instead by the Sony employees and unlike in the ZU docs, the new device's measurements could be just the display's dimensions and not the entire device. You mentioned it yourself after drawing it out, the diagonal and side dimensions do fit together, and the margins are super thin all around, top, bottom and sides, so no place for an front facing camera or sensors. We'll have to wait and see what this evolves into.

Yeah, they write in the pdf "display screen" but after thinking about it again, there is a possibility that it is a loose term for noting that it is a drawing of the front side and not of the display size only. anyway, like you said, lets wait and see.

It should be 182.42 mm instead of 178 if those are display sizes. (Right Triangle)
So here is the engineering. Shave off ~4 mm from the width (frames) and shave off ~30 mm (top and bottom bezels combined) do the right triangle formula a squared + b squared = c squared you get something around 6.25 inches for the screen size. (Helloooo Z3X

Display screen on those files mean it is the front of the device, the screen is positioned there. Anyways we'll see.

S60 = 6" ??? and S70 = 7" ??? both should be available on 18th August. If true announcement should take place in one or two weeks. Probably before Samsung announces the Note 5 in mid August. S40? (compact) and S50? ("Z5") will than be announced at IFA.

high end sony s70 and s60 in 20 days from now? prices are too high to me.i wonder if they have special features...
i guess sony will show new models in august , but i'm not sure about their prices are higher then even z series.
