Hello,
I have not looked at mobiles for over a year so I need some advice please. I am a P series person since thee 800 but, as my contract is with voda, didn't get a P1, I got a W960. I have been very happy with it. I seem to have missed out on the Xperia as it is no longer available on voda so what do I do? I am totally out of touch!
The following is essantial for me:
Handwriting recognition
Bluetooth
Usual smartphone features
Good camera is nice but I can cope if it's not mega.
Any advice on phones to look at would be soooo appreciated or advice on a phone to wait for. I can't find any successor to the X1 and I've spent all evening getting confused over what is out there!

Youre in luck, nothing has changed in the past year, except for millions of new copy and paste phones all running on a200 platform. Idou wont be released till October, so expect a repeat perfomance of the X1. Although its nothing special though, the music player is still the same as the age old w960 and the media player is the same as w910, although we dont know everything about it, but i doubt there will be anything noteworthy.

Ehhhm, the media player and music player may look a bit the same, but they are not for shure! And a 12 mp cam + symbian foundation is nothing noteworthy? Oh, and just for the record, Idou is the phone in the pic above.

But let's keep it to rumors......

I suppose the june annoucement will be the next one from SE?

I can see your point, unfortunatley nobody has heard of sf apart from the tech world, so that wont sell, the 12mp camera isnt a suprise, they only placed it on becase they knew they would be late with it and by then the other manufactures phones would have 12mp cams. And by what ive seen so far the interface (excluding the media part) is pretty lacluster and not a patch on the competiton, especially the LGARENA, although i would never normally go for an LG the new interface is really slick and nice. But i guess the phone isnt fully announced, so time will tell

Thank you 10123, Vodafone told me yesterday they didn't have any and I am on the £45 contract. Will prabably wait until later in the year then, the X1 doesn't seem to be setting the world alight!

There could be something announced after the profit (or loss) announcement which is in April sometime. They may just show more of the Idou but there is the possibility of a totally new phone being announced, fingers crossed I guess.

I didn't report on this even though I should because this is an odd phone from Sony Ericsson and AU. You won't see many people in Japan with this phone.
