@rocketman and myp910 - i was just talking to someone about this type of cradle the other day and was saying i should make my own and sell it! haha.. i would imagine there will be someone in china who will make one at some point. i may figure out a DIY version if no one does. times like this, i wish I had 3D printer!!!!!

I was thinking to DIY myself as well. In fact, I thought I'm going to use a normal car cradle to hold the magnetic dock vertically hoping to have enough space to slot in the phone.

Hi All, noob post alert!!:) been following this thread for a few days as I'm about to go Z1 after 18months on S3! In UK and I did pre-order with O2 to get the QX10 included and they've been holding it for me since release day as it wouldve been 2 months early upgrade fee otherwise and d-day is tomorrow!

Being honest after reading all the -ve's re screen I've had a few concerns and have checked out Note3, S4 & G2 great screens all imho however G2 jut feels really cheap to me and I fancy a change from Sam, I'll let my eyes decide before I take it out of shop but I had a play with one today which had a demo vid of Elysium on it and it looked really reallly nice!!!

I finally have a question if anyone can advise, do Sony have the screen protectors fitted already or should they be loose in box? I've seen a vid showing one being removed which took off the Sony logo at same time so wasnt sure if thats a separate protection fitted to the glass or what??

Cheers guys.

ps @ XperiaJunkie flippin 'eck mate how many steps!!!!....glad to hear it survived, think the G2 would've exploded on 2nd step!!:)

sony applies the shatter proof sheet (which is barely noticeable). This is the sheet that has the sony logo on it. there is a screen protector in the box which can go on top as well, though it's not a great one as it attracts fingerprints easily.

I purchased illumishield and use it on front and back. works great, feels great. and best of all a lot less fingerprints.

Thanks for explaining moogoo, I'll see if illumishield have uk outlet or ship here?....they look good, just checked website out. Must admit the one in shop did have alot of fingerprints on back so these sound ideal, cheers!

illumishield i believe is an american company and they do ship internationally, but for an additional fee. i would look locally to see if there is a similar option so you don't have to pay the extra shipping costs. or go with another brand that has similar features but has an international presence. they might be more expensive, but when it's all said and done, it might be similar in price after shipping the illumishield. compare and see what you get!

good luck. and yes. the difference is night and day on how many fingerprints are visible. i am very happy with illumishield. it's one of the best fits i've had on a screen protector in all the ones i've tried over the years.
